Overview

The Stanford Pediatrics COVID-19 in Children Seminar Series is a forum explicitly devoted to the pandemic and focused on its impact on the pediatric population. The goal of this series is to share trustworthy, evidence-based information on COVID-19 and the rapidly changing knowledge base. Topics will include, but is not limited to, lessons learned over the pandemic, comments from Dr. Fauci, the history of Coronavirus and why it is so different. The series will address why children are not affected as much as other populations, as well as vaccine and testing updates and return to school concerns. The series will include rigorous review of recent literature to promote an enhanced understanding of key epidemiologic concepts, and improve evidence-based care. This session focuses on the role of telehealth and clinical informatics during the COVID pandemic, including the rapid deployment of telehealth services and the impact of telehealth on healthcare delivery, with specific consideration of the unique aspects and issues in the pediatric population.
