HELP WITH MY CE ACCOUNT

Q: How do I create a new account on the Stanford My CE Portal?
A:
For New Users: Visit the Stanford MY CE Portal and click the “Sign In” button. Select “Create New Account.” Fill in your personal details, including your email address and name. Choose your degree/profession from the options provided. Click “Create Account” to complete the process.

For Returning Users: Click the “Sign In” button and enter your email and password. If this is your first time returning to the portal, click “Forgot Your Password,” then enter your email to receive a password reset link.

For additional help, watch our video tutorial here.

Important: If you’ve participated in any Stanford CME activities before, creating a new profile with a different email is strongly discouraged. Doing so may result in a duplicate profile, and your previously claimed credits will not appear on your transcript.

Q: How to update My Profile or change your password?
A: Click on the "Reset My Password" button on the Profile page to set up a new password. Alternatively, you can use the "Forgot Your Password" option to reset your password.  Click on "Profile" button to edit and submit to save. For additional help, watch our video tutorial here.

Q: Where can I view my credit transcript from Stanford CME?
A:
After logging into the Stanford MY CE Portal, click on the "My CE" button in the navigation bar and then select the Transcript icon. Choose a date range for the transcript records by entering a Start and End Date. You have the option to email or download your transcript. By default, the start date for the transcript report is 1/1/2010, and the end date is today’s date. The buttons above the transcript report allow you to download or email the transcripts.

Important: If your CE transcript is incomplete or missing credits, email us at [email protected]. Be sure to regularly check your transcript to ensure your credits are recorded. Credits for externally managed activities may take time to appear, while credits claimed via text (without an evaluation) show up immediately.

Q: How do I get a copy of my certificate?
A: After logging into the Stanford CME Portal, click on the "My CE" button in the navigation bar and then select the Evaluations & Certificates icon. View, print, or email a certificate.

HELP WITH CLAIMING CREDIT FROM EXTERNAL LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (LMS) ACCOUNT (e.g., edX, Coursera, GetSmarter, Canvas, etc.)

Q: How do I claim credit after completing an activity on external LMS the Stanford My CE Portal?
A: To claim credit after completing an activity on an external LMS, follow these steps:
1.  Ensure that you’ve met all the activity requirements, and locate the instructions for claiming credit in the wrap-up section.
2.  Click the “Claim Credit” button (or external link), which will open a new browser window.
3.  Sign in to the Stanford MY CE Portal using your email and password. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one. If you’ve previously participated in a Stanford-accredited activity but don’t remember your password, click “Forgot Your Password” to receive a reset link via email.
4.  Complete the evaluation and credit claim form, then click “Submit.” Your credits will be added to your profile, and you’ll be able to download or email your certificate/transcript.

For additional help, watch our video tutorial here.

Q: Is my Stanford My CE login the same as the one I used for external LMS?
A:
No, learners who take Stanford Medicine accredited online activity on external platforms such as EdX, Coursera, GetSmarter, or Canvas are not automatically linked to the Stanford MY CE Portal. To receive CME/CE credits for completed activity, you must log in to the Stanford MY CE Portal using a separate Stanford account. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to create one on the portal to access the activity’s evaluation and claim your credits from Stanford CME.

Q: Why can't I receive a Stanford Medicine certificate/transcript from an external LMS?
A:
There are several reasons why you may not be able to receive a certificate directly from an external LMS where you took the course:
- On EdX and Coursera, free courses on these LMS platforms are considered audit only. You will not receive a certificate unless the course has a paid version.
- You may not have fulfilled all the necessary course requirements to receive the certificate.
- Missing strict course deadlines for assignments/exams may prevent you from earning a certificate.
- If you miss the claim credit deadline and the course’s accreditation has expired.
- There may have been a technical glitch. If you suspect this is the case, you can contact the platform’s support team.
- The course may not offer CME/CE certification.

HELP WITH CLAIMING CREDIT THROUGH SMS TEXT/MOBILE APP TEXT

Q: How do I check in using SMS texting or CloudCME mobile app?
A: Via SMS: At the start of the activity, a unique code will be provided. If it’s your first time using SMS to check in, text your registered email address to (844) 560-1904 to pair your phone with your account. You’ll receive a confirmation. Once paired, text the event code to (844) 560-1904. For live-streamed events, the code will be sent via email. You can check in starting 1 hour before the activity until 1 hour after it ends.

Via CloudCME App: Download the CloudCME app for Apple or Android devices. The organization code to log in Cloud CME app is Stanford. Use the Check-in menu to scan a QR code or manually enter the code. The app also gives access to your transcripts and event calendar. Use the organization code “Stanford” to log in.
