Stanford Otology Update 2026

Stanford Otology Update 2026 is designed to advance the knowledge and clinical skills of healthcare providers specializing in adult and pediatric otologic disorders. This comprehensive program will focus on the latest advances in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment of common and complex ear conditions. Participants will gain practical insights into risk reduction strategies, effective ordering and interpretation of diagnostic tests, and the application of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. The course consists of a blend of didactic lectures, interactive panel discussions, real-word case studies, and hands-on skills sessions led by expert faculty.

All three days which includes three hands-on skills session on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

1. Diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders based on specific patient characteristic and practice setting
2. Develop skills in understanding, selecting, and performing otologic surgical procedures
3. Apply risk reduction techniques in otologic surgery to reduce clinical errors
4. Develop strategies to optimally establish and perform multi-specialty approach care for complex otologic disorders

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

American Medical Association (AMA) 
Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 18.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) - Live 
Stanford Medicine has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This live activity is designated for 18.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.  

American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery MOC Credit
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn their required annual part II self-assessment credit in the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery’s Continuing Certification program (formerly known as MOC). It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of recognizing participation. 

MOC Participation Threshold
Learner writes a reflective statement on making a commitment to change or maintaining an element of practice. Validity of all written statements will be assessed prior to awarding credit.

Stanford Medicine is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of  2.05 AAA CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy’s Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.

ASHA CEUS (Audiologists)
In order to receive ASHA CEU's, participants must complete a post course survey by March 21, 2026.

Live Activities: Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date.

Self-paced Activities: No refunds will be made on cancellation requests after a learner accesses any part of the course content. Any cancellations refunded will less a 20% administrative fee. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected].
