Overview
Bleeding complications are feared in dental practices because they are easily encountered, possibly difficult to control and likely impactful on patients. In this session, Tobias Boehm, DDS, PhD, MBA will review the multiple ways genetic conditions can result in bleeding episodes during dental treatment and how contemporary medical approaches help reduce bleeding events in these individuals. Dentists can play a supporting role in improving quality of life for individuals and caregivers affected by congenital bleeding disorders, and this session will cover a number of ways that dentists can help these individuals achieve good oral health while reducing the risk of unwanted postoperative bleeding.

Registration is $50 for all learners. The Zoom link for the webinar will be sent to you via email during the week leading up to the event. Be sure to use an email address you check frequently.

  4. Describe how the healthcare team can collaborate on restoring oral health in individuals with congenital bleeding disorders.
