Internet Enduring Material sponsored by the Stanford University School of Medicine. Presented by the Anesthesia Informatics and Media Lab at the Stanford University School of Medicine. 

This webinar is focused on the following topics: Evaluate your pre-COVID way of scheduling. Discussed the administrative issue of staffing and scheduling. Very important to communicate effectively as there are many key collaborations, including pre-post procedure staff, NORA services, anesthesia, and scheduling. Another important factor to consider is prioritizing patients. COVID testing. Determine when and who to test. Determine what to do with results. What staffing resources are available and determine what levels of PPE are available?  Discussed staffing re-opening, clinical management, drug shortages, procedures for sterile and non-sterile sites. Other topics include: TEE, MRI, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, NEURO IR, ECT, Pediatric patients and Standard of care.

  1. Recognize challenges in scheduling and staffing elective non-operating room anesthetics in the setting of COVID-19
  2. Identify clinical challenges to the administration of anesthetics during the COVID-19 pandemic in anesthetizing locations outside of the operating room
  3. Discuss updates in patient safety algorithms, such as ACLS and airway management, as they pertain to non-operating room anesthetics
