Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to: 

  1. Describe the pathophysiology and diagnosis of key diseases in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
  2. Develop strategies to manage key diseases in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
  3. Take the initial certification or recertification of the Gastroenterology board exam with confidence in answering case-based questions.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Credit Designation 

American Medical Association (AMA) 

The 2021 Gastroenterology & Hepatology Board Review Course has two components: an Enduring Material (self-study completed on your own time) and a Live activity (webinar scheduled for September 10-12, 2021).  Physicians who complete both parts can earn a maximum of 29.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM.

Stanford Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 19.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Stanford Medicine designates the live activity for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  

American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 29.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
