Internet Enduring Material Sponsored by the Stanford University School of Medicine. Presented by the Department of Ophthalmology, Byers Eye Institute at Stanford at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

This CME activity provides a practical approach to initiating an internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling procedure after pars plana vitrectomy (e.g. with the aim of closing a macular hole). The theoretical principles of starting an ILM peel are discussed, along with practical tips and techniques. The course director then reviews several cases of ILM peel initiation to demonstrate the principles in action. 

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians and allied health professionals in ophthalmology and specifically in the subspeciality of vitreoretinal diseases and surgery
