Overview

The NIDIskin Confocal Microscopy Reader’s Course is the only live course in the United States where attendees can gain general proficiency in reading RCM images through lectures, interactive sessions, and live practice cases.

Statement of Need
Reading RCM images has not yet become a part of standard Dermatology and Dermatopathology curricula in the United States because there are not enough qualified readers to teach the specialty. Doctors and pathologists who want to learn do not have enough cases to practice on.

Target Audience
Dermatologists and Dermatopathologists

  2. Distinguish skin cancer from benign lesions using RCM
  3. Discern when to use non-invasive tools (i.e. RCM) in a clinical setting
  4. Develop strategies to incorporate RCM into a clinical practice when appropriate.
