Overview
This lecture will provide an overview of pediatric lower extremity development, helping learners distinguish physiologic variations from pathologic findings. Learners will review common causes of in-toeing gait, develop strategies for identifying the source of rotational deformities through physical examination, and recognize red flags in gait and lower extremity alignment. The session will also provide practical guidance for counseling families about expected natural history and determining when further intervention is warranted.

  2. Discuss the most common causes of in-toeing gait in children and identify the source of rotational deformity through physical exam. 
  3. Identify red flags in gait and lower extremity alignment. 
  4. Counsel families on natural history and indications for further intervention.
