Overview
Mental disorders are highly heterogeneous and often comorbid, challenging conventional diagnosis and individualized treatment. In this talk, Dr. Yu Zhang will present recent work on dimensional brain-behavior frameworks that use contrastive machine learning to identify neurobiological markers and transdiagnostic subtypes from large-scale neuroimaging data. Dr. Zhang will also introduce a brain graph foundation model that integrates graph transformer pretraining with prompt-based adaptation to generalize across brain atlases, disorders, datasets, and tasks. Together, these advances highlight the potential of representation learning for precision mental health, supporting improved diagnosis and prognosis.
