Overview
The Trauma Peer Review Conference is a recurring multidisciplinary educational forum that reviews complex trauma cases, adverse events, near misses, unexpected outcomes, and systems-based challenges to improve the care of critically injured patients. Through structured case review and discussion, participants evaluate trauma team performance, multidisciplinary coordination, adherence to evidence-based trauma protocols, timely surgical and critical care interventions, and systems factors affecting patient outcomes. The conference promotes continuous performance improvement by identifying practice variation, applying evidence-based practices, and strengthening the safety, quality, and reliability of trauma care.
