Overview

The Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R) is a standardized semi-structured interview designed to aid in diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum disorder. The comprehensive interview, which can be administered in person or via telehealth using videoconferencing, allows clinicians and researchers to collect information from caregivers about an individual’s behaviors and developmental history to evaluate possible symptoms of autism.

The ADI-R Introductory Training workshop will use a lecture format and video demonstrations to introduce the basic principles of administering and scoring the ADI-R. This provides the first step toward gaining competence in using the ADI-R. It is also a required pre-requisite for individuals who wish to participate in the Advanced/Research workshops.

Required Materials:

  1. You will need to bring three copies of the ADI-R protocol and three copies of the the algorithm form.

  2. We also recommend having access to an ADI-R manual during the training.

  3. These materials are not provided with the training. If you do not have access to these materials at the time of the training, your registration will need to be deferred to the next available training.

  4. ADI-R materials are available through Western Psychological Services at 1-800-648-8857 or at www.wpspublish.com
