This event includes multidisciplinary thought leaders from science, business, journalism, and policy in discussion and dissection of some of the most pressing issues facing medicine in our time. The theme of this year's conference is the Future of Medicine: Accessing & Assessing Medical Truth in 2026, with panels on Medical Education, the Price of Healthcare, and Women's Health. Each theme will feature four speakers giving a 30 minute talk on a Big Idea followed by a panel discussion.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify at least one evidence-informed change they can implement in their own clinical, educational, or organizational setting to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, or clinician well-being.
  2. Integrate perspectives from clinical medicine, health policy, technology, and the humanities to enhance patient-centered care, address health disparities, and improve care delivery systems.
  3. Critically appraise emerging concepts and innovations in medicine (e.g., new care models, technologies, or therapeutic approaches) and determine their applicability, limitations, and risks in clinical practice.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
