At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  3. Reflect on the ethical, cultural, and institutional challenges faced by earlier generations of anesthesiologists and their relevance today.
  4. Apply historical insights to enhance professional identity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and teaching within the anesthesia care team.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
