This Continuing Medical Education activity, presented by the Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing, featured a session on Native American youth mental health. Dr. Maegan Rides At The Door and Dr. Kiana Maillet explored the impact of historical and generational trauma on Native youth. The session offered valuable insights into culturally responsive care and highlighted pathways to healing and resilience.

1. Assess historical trauma in your Native youth population in order to be more responsive to the unique needs of members of this population.
2. Develop approaches to care that include both Western medicine and indigenous practices in order to provide culturally sensitve care to your patients.
