Wednesday, October 9, 2024, 12:00 PM - Friday, October 8, 2027, 11:59 AM, On Demand

Overview
In this episode, we will be joined by Scarlett Lin Gomez, MPH, PhD, and Iona Cheng, PhD, MPH, both Professors of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at UCSF School of Medicine. Our discussion will focus on the rising rates of both lung and breast cancer in Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) females. We will delve into the ongoing research aimed at uncovering the risk factors and symptoms of lung cancer in never-smoking AAPI females. We will also explore the rapidly rising incidence of breast cancer in AAPI women, particularly premenopausal women less than 50 years of age, and discuss potential factors contributing to this trend.
