Orthopaedic Surgery Grand rounds presentations are designed to identify, examine and address controversial areas in orthopaedic surgery. In addition to provide updates on current knowledge in any sub-specialty areas and evidence based approaches to clinical problems.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify rates of post-operative surgical complications and incorporate best practices to lower these complication rates.
  2. Recognize changes to surgical indications and apply these to orthopaedic surgery.
  3. Evaluate new surgical techniques and implants and apply these to the care of orthopaedic patients.
  4. Utilize patient outcome tools to identify patient health outcomes and apply strategies that provide optimal surgical care.
