Dr. Hooper examines the driving factors behind the shift, including exclusion criteria and risk stratification with outpatient arthroplasty risk assessment scoring. This lecture also covers cost differences between same-day procedures and inpatient care, concluding with a thorough review of perioperative and day-of procedures and insights into anticipating challenges during the cultural shift towards outpatient-based procedures.
