Stanford Pain Relief Innovations Lab Guest Speaker Series: Addressing Social Aspects of Pain in Practice: Challenges and Opportunities

The Stanford Pain Relief Innovations Lab, hosted by Dr. Beth Darnall, PhD, presents a virtual, monthly guest speaker series, inviting visiting professors in Pain Medicine, Pain Management and Pain Science. October's topic is "Addressing Social Aspects of Pain in Practice: Challenges and Opportunities" presented by Claire Ashton-James, PhD. During this lecture, Dr. Ashton-James will discuss the scope of social factors contributing to pain and pain management outcomes . Dr. Ashton-James will also discuss how social factors modulate pain, engagement with treatment advice, and pain management outcomes.
