THIS IS A STANFORD, DEPARTMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR MEDICINE & CARDIOVASCULAR INSTITUTE ONLY ACTIVITY.

This series discusses patient cases that are controversial and complex, have a high educational value, or are novel situations that require a multidisciplinary approach to decision making of patient care. History of the patient is reviewed and then discussed.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (1.00 hours)

1. Critically review and analyze a variety of cases to facilitate and improve patient care.
2. Analyze and utilize current guidelines for the treatment of complex heart disease.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Credit Designation 
American Medical Association (AMA) 
Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
