This workshop will help therapists develop effective strategies for engaging individuals who experience distressing thoughts, beliefs, and paranoia.

The workshop is designed to be interactive, and skills-focused with a combination of teaching the main ACTp concepts, introducing case examples, and experiential exercises to promote engagement, reduce avoidance, and support individuals with psychosis.

This session introduces delegates to CBT-BAR (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Bipolar At Risk), a pioneering, world-first psychological intervention developed specifically for young people meeting Bipolar At Risk (BAR) criteria.

In this workshop, we will cover clinical issues and adaptations of an imagery-focused approach for psychosis (Taylor et al., 2019).

Attachment theory, developed by John Bowlby, explains the importance of human relationships to psychological well-being across the lifespan. This workshop will draw on Professor Berry's extensive research and experience of working with individuals with psychosis using an attachment model.

This educational activity introduces participants to narrative leadership, grounded in the organizing framework developed by Marshall Ganz: story of self, story of us, and story of now.
