Overview
This abbreviated didactic series teaches foundational concepts of quality, patient safety, and process improvement with a focus on anesthesia teams. The goal of the course is to engage faculty, residents, fellows, and other learners in discussing issues in quality and apply them to improvement projects in anesthesia clinical practice.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Compare current practice with best evidence and guidelines to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Critically analyze emerging data from clinical research and latest guidelines to formulate best practice models for patient care.
  3. Incorporate best practice modalities into the current management approach of anesthesia patients.
