Join Us Virtually!

The Mid-Coastal California Perinatal Outreach Program (MCCPOP), is a program of the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC), located at Stanford University School of Medicine, Division of Neonatology. MCCPOP leaders include neonatologists and maternal fetal medicine specialists who consult on perinatal clinical care questions and provide education on current standards of care for mothers and newborns. These leaders partner with California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) as well as other physician specialists at Stanford Medicine, to provide a full spectrum of expertise, supporting high quality care for newborns and for women, before, during and post pregnancy. In addition, MCCPOP offers timely continuing education courses for nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, physicians and other health care professionals, via an eLearning platform. 

For forty years, the Annual MCCPOP Perinatal Potpourri Conference has provided current advances in maternal, fetal and neonatal medicine. Perinatal providers present on a variety of topics through lectures, panel presentations and case-based discussions. In 2021, the event moves to a virtual format to reach more healthcare professionals across California, the U.S., and internationally.


Registration
Registration fee includes course materials, certificate of participation, and access to recorded presentations.

Registration Fees:
Physicians - $250
RNs/AHPs - $100
Fellows/Residents - $75
Students - $25

Tuition may be paid by Visa, MasterCard or check. Your email address is used for critical information, including registration confirmation, evaluation, and certificate. Be sure to include an email address that you check frequently. If you prefer to pay by phone or check, please contact the Stanford Center for CME at (650) 497-8554 for assistance.

STAP-eligible employees can use STAP funds towards the registration fees for this activity.  Complete the STAP Reimbursement Request Form and submit to your department administrator.

Target Audience

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Screen, diagnose and treat sepsis in maternal patients.
  2. Identify and evaluate pregnant and postpartum women for opioid use and treat or refer appropriately.
  3. Integrate diagnostic point-of-care ultrasound appropriately into neonatal clinical settings.
  4. Implement quality improvement opportunities to enhance patient outcomes.

Accreditation

The Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation
The Stanford University School of Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 11.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The California Board of Registered Nursing recognizes that Continuing Medical Education (CME) is acceptable for meeting RN continuing education requirements as long as the course is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM (rn.ca.gov).  Nurses will receive a Certificate of Participation following this activity that may be used for license renewal. The provider number is: 0000751.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to stanfordcme@stanford.edu.
