An overview of interdisciplinary pain management education designed to give physicians the competence in recognizing and understanding the unique needs of pain patients as well as further their ability to refer and treat patient in an interdisciplinary, multimodal manner.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. confidently diagnose migraine and its subtypes
  2. have increased familiarity and comfort with the utilization of preventive pharmacologic treatments for migraine
  3. have increased familiarity and comfort with the pharmacologic rescue treatments for migraine
  4. have increased familiarity and understanding of the new treatments on the market for migraine
  5. adverse effects and contraindications to common non-opioid medications
