Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Evaluate recent advances in new diagnostics, clinical guidelines, clinical trials and breakthroughs in research in order to improve diagnostic skills and therapeutic clinical decision-making for patients in the intensive care unit and outpatient settings.
  2. Critically review and analyze cases to develop strategies that will improve patient safety.
