Internet Enduring Material sponsored by the Stanford University School of Medicine. Presented by the Anesthesia Informatics and Media Lab at the Stanford University School of Medicine. 

This webinar covers many topics, including the current state in medical centers and future goals to meet demand. Institutions will develop an operational plan to face a COVID-19 surge with expansion of care capacity. Discuss why the healthcare shortages exist and the inability of our systems to flex, which is exposed by surges of COVID-19 as demonstrated in areas such as Lombardy, Italy and New York City. Who? Key stakeholders include administration, policy makers, nursing staff and their managers, physicians and technicians. How? Overview of key pain points, leverage variables for care expansion, create care models to meet surge capacity. Staff training and education, use of technology and innovation. Outlook for digital health and remote monitoring in 2025. It will be important to understand the regulatory and legal aspects of care, facility fees and service charges.
