Overview

The 2022 Breast in the West conference aims to enhance participants knowledge and understanding of current best practices in breast cancer imaging. Participants can claim up to 14 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Faculty experts will provide didactic lectures with multiple case examples, and question and answer sessions. Participants will learn strategies and diagnostic approaches from expert radiology and pathology faculty to help optimize their detection and diagnosis of breast cancer with digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound and Breast MRI. Modality specific presentations will review best evidence based clinical practice, addressing commonly encountered scenarios and highlighting recent clinical/technical developments.

The faculty will incorporate evidence-based data to educate participants in current best clinical practice and to recommend strategies for improving interpretive performance. The performance and interpretation of image guided breast core needle biopsies will be discussed by experts in radiology and pathology, focusing on radiology-pathology concordance including elevated risk lesions. The overall goal of this activity is to help participants optimize their breast imaging practices.
