ADOS-2 Introductory Training

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) is a direct observation instrument designed to aid in the diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum disorders in people of different ages, developmental levels, and language abilities. This introductory training is appropriate for professionals with previous training in diagnostic assessment, as well as direct testing experience with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.

The ADOS-2 Introductory Training for Module T (Toddler) through Module 4 will use a lecture format and video demonstrations to introduce the basic principles of administering and scoring each ADOS-2 module. This provides the first step toward gaining competence in using the ADOS-2. It is also a required pre-requisite for individuals who wish to participate in the Advanced/Research workshops.

Required Materials:

• You will need to bring one copy of each ADOS-2 protocol (Toddler module and 1-4)

• We also recommend having access to an ADOS-2 manual during the training.

• These materials are not provided with the training. If you do not have access to these materials at the time of the training, your registration will need to be deferred to the next available training.

1. Accurately score and interpret the results of the ADOS-2.
2. Integrate information obtained from the ADOS-2 with other diagnostic information.
3. Identify cases in which the ADOS-2 is not appropriate for use, and identify other instruments that may be more appropriate in such cases

American Medical Association (AMA) 
Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 18.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

ASWB Approved Continuing Education Credit (ACE) – Social Work Credit 
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Stanford Medicine is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this activity receive 18.75 continuing education credits.

American Psychological Association (APA) 
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

A 3% administrative fee for domestic transactions and 4.5% for international transactions will be deducted from the total refund amount.
