Pediatric Emergency Medicine Journal Club

The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Journal Club serves as a forum for physicians and trainees to critically evaluate and discuss current literature relevant to pediatric emergency care. Through the review of recent studies, case reports, and evidence-based guidelines, participants enhance their ability to apply new research findings to clinical practice. Fosters collaborative learning by encouraging open dialogue on diagnostic challenges, therapeutic approaches, and quality improvement initiatives, ultimately aiming to advance patient outcomes in the pediatric emergency setting.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (1.00 hours)

1. Critically evaluate current peer-reviewed literature in Pediatric Emergency Medicine for scientific validity, clinical relevance, and applicability to practice.
2. Incorporate evidence from current peer-reviewed Pediatric Emergency Medicine literature into clinical decision-making to improve competence, patient management, and quality of care.
3. Apply evidence-based findings to diagnostic and treatment decisions in order to improve patient management and outcomes in pediatric emergency settings.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
