Overview

This online short course offers insights into the strategic considerations and best practices for driving healthcare in a shifting technological landscape. This course provides tangible outcomes at an executive and professional level; over six weeks, you’ll gain strategic awareness around the integration and optimization of telehealth as a mainstream healthcare practice. You’ll explore the clinical, operational, financial, and legal requirements of telehealth implementation, with guidance from Stanford (SCHE) experts Natalie M. Pageler and Christopher Sharp. Examine the theoretical foundations as well as the practical, technical, and business aspects of telemedicine and how to best utilize technology to enhance equitable access to healthcare.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. List the strategic considerations and best-practice approaches for driving telehealth in an evolving technological landscape.
  2. Describe the clinical, operational, financial, and legal needs of telehealth solutions, and how to use technology for improved healthcare access.
  3. Identify the risks and barriers to telehealth delivery, while embracing its opportunities.
  4. Successfully implement and optimize telehealth solutions.
