This masterclass in CBCT and advanced imaging for bronchoscopy is designed for clinicians at all levels – whether you’re just starting a peripheral bronchoscopy program or looking to refine complex, image-guided workflows. Led by thought leaders in advanced bronchoscopy, this course blends rigorous didactics and literature review with an introduction to state-of-the-art and cutting-edge technologies, comprehensive hands-on training, and opportunities to network with peers and industry. Attendees also receive practical guidance on technology acquisition and how to build and operationalize a CBCT or advanced imaging-guided bronchoscopy program at the institutional level.

At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe the role of CBCT and other advanced imaging technologies in diagnostic bronchoscopy.
  2. Compare and contrast CBCT, digital tomosynthesis, and other image-guided bronchoscopic techniques.
  3. List the main features and general operation of CBCT and other advanced imaging technologies when used with various bronchoscopy platforms.
  4. Identify strategies for obtaining access to CBCT and other advanced imaging modalities.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Credit Designation 
American Medical Association (AMA) 
Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 7.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

MOC Participation Threshold
Lectures: Learner writes a reflective statement and makes a commitment to change or maintain an element of practice. Validity of all written statements will be assessed prior to awarding credit. (4.0 ABIM MOC Credits).

Hands-On: Learner actively engages in simulation as judged by a facilitator or observer. (3.25 ABIM MOC Credits).
