AI in Medical Education

The AI in Medical Education Symposium, part of Stanford AI Week, brings together educators, clinicians, researchers, and technologists to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the future of medical training and clinical practice. This interactive half-day event will feature lightning demos of innovative tools, thought-provoking panels, and opportunities for hands-on discussion. Participants will gain insight into how AI can be responsibly and effectively integrated into the education and evaluation of future physicians, while also considering broader ethical, clinical, and societal implications.

If attending, in person is located at Assembly Hall at Stanford Hospital, limited to 250 attendees.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (4.00 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (4.00 hours)

1. Identify emerging applications of AI in medical education and training.
2. Evaluate the potential impact of AI tools on clinical reasoning, assessment, and feedback processes.
3. Discuss ethical considerations related to the use of AI in evaluating medical trainees.
4. Explore opportunities for collaborative research and implementation of AI in educational settings.
5. Engage with live demonstrations to better understand AI capabilities and limitations in medical contexts

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Live Activities: Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Self-paced Activities: No refunds will be made on cancellation requests after a learner accesses any part of the course content. Any cancellations refunded will less a 20% administrative fee.
