Stanford Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) Research Symposium

The Stanford BPD Research Symposium will bring together a distinguished group of international experts from a variety of medical fields, including neonatology, pediatric pulmonology, pediatric cardiology, and other related specialties, to share the most recent advancements and cutting-edge discoveries in the understanding and treatment of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD). This symposium aims to foster a dynamic and collaborative environment where researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals can engage in meaningful discussions, exchange innovative ideas, and explore new scientific insights. With an emphasis on networking and the cross-pollination of knowledge, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with thought leaders and contribute to shaping the future of BPD research and clinical care.

We will accept all abstracts for poster presentation. Please notify Chantu if you plan on bringing a poster. 
We will notify participants whether their abstract has been selected for an oral presentation by the end of August.
Poster presentation guidelines

Poster Dimensions:
The maximum size is 44 x 44 inches.
Set-Up: We will provide pins and a corkboard for poster display. Please bring your poster with you on the day of the symposium.
Participation: We request that you stand near your poster during the lunch poster session. Please plan to leave your poster up for the entire day, as guests will be able to walk around and ask questions. Be prepared to discuss and explain your work.
Post-Event Clean-Up: Please remove your poster at the end of the symposium. Any unclaimed posters will be disposed of.

STAP-eligible employees can use STAP funds towards the registration fees for this activity.  Complete the STAP Reimbursement Request Form and submit to your department administrator.

1. Review cutting edge research findings in the pathophysiology of BPD.
2. Describe differences in patient outcomes based on early risk factors.
3. Summarize the latest advances in the life course understanding of BPD.
4. Identify the multifactorial risks in BPD.
5. Discuss the value and challenges related to precision medicine approaches to BPD.

Stanford offers a free shuttle service that is open to the public for the area surrounding campus.

Parking Information
Visitor parking is available near the LKSC. The closest parking lots to LKSC are the LKSC lot (Zone 7215), the Stock Farm lot (Zone 7217) and the Via Ortega Garage (Zone 7202). We recommend parking at the Stock Farm lot, as that has the most parking spaces. View map
