THIS IS A HIPAA RESTRICTED, STANFORD DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE ONLY ACTIVITY. This case-based series discusses adverse events and medical conditions known to be at high risk of resulting in an adverse event are presented and discussed among practitioners in Trauma Emergency Medicine.

Objective(s): 1 Utilize best practice and evidence-based medicine to improve the diagnostic and therapeutic management of emergency medicine patients. 2 Develop evidence-based strategies to prevent adverse events in patient care. 3 Analyze patient cases to identify systems issues and implement improvements leading to desirable patient outcomes.
