Radiation oncology is a branch of medicine that involves the use of ionizing radiation to treat cancer and even some benign etiologies. It is a complex and rapidly evolving field with frequent technological and clinical breakthroughs. This educational series features weekly chart rounds, which are essential for peer reviewing radiation treatment plans and engaging in interdisciplinary discussions regarding patient care. By facilitating a collaborative environment, these sessions aim to enhance treatment planning, improve patient outcomes, and provide ongoing professional development for all participants.

Objective(s): 1 Critically assess radiation treatment plans, identify potential errors, and suggest improvements to enhance patient safety and treatment efficacy. 2 Integrate newly discussed radiation techniques and regimens into clinical practice, ensuring participants stay current with the latest advancements in radiation oncology. 3 Collaborate with different team members (dosimetrists, physicists, physicians, radiation therapists) to develop comprehensive treatment plan review and team building. 4 Effectively present pertinent patient information, ensuring clear communication and facilitating informed decision-making during clinical discussions.
