Overview
The Professional Practice Evaluation Oversight Committee (PPEOC) is designated by the Medical Executive Committee to oversee Care Improvement Committee (CIC) actions taken as a result of Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE), Ad-hoc Performance Review Committees and action plans, OPPE infrastructure and reporting, Behavioral Review and action plans, and FPPE. This series promotes the education, training, and professional development of physicians in order to improve their practice and become more effective clinicians.

Objective(s): 1 Review and evaluate the steps taken by the service Professional Practice Evaluation Committee (PPEC) to determine if systems/process and team function improvement opportunities exist. 2 Apply techniques to integrate the PPE process into a culture of learning and systemic enhancement within healthcare settings. 3 Implement strategies to ensure that the PPE process serves as a mechanism for continuous learning and systems improvement, fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability among healthcare professionals.
