Overview
In this recorded Anesthesiology Grand Rounds presentation, Dr. Rodrigo Rubio discusses the issue of inequality in access to educational opportunities and resources in the medical field, particularly in Latin America. Dr. Rubio highlights the stories of two individuals, Gabriela and Luis, who faced challenges in obtaining certification due to a lack of access to training and resources. In addition, Dr. Rubio emphasizes the need for more active and reflective learning methods, such as simulation and serious games, to address these inequalities. The presentation also explores the potential of tele-simulation and remote learning to reach underserved areas.
