THIS IS A STANFORD, DEPARTMENT OF DERMATOLOGY ONLY ACTIVITY. THIS IS A STANFORD, DEPARTMENT OF DERMATOLOGY ONLY ACTIVITY. This series updates participants on evidence-based guidelines, novel diagnoses, diagnostic tests, and treatment recommendations to improve medical knowledge and strategies for application in clinical practice.

Objective(s): 1 Critically review and evaluate complex dermatologic conditions referencing emerging research and practice guidelines in order to develop strategies for diagnosis, treatment and management. 2 Apply evidence-based guidelines for common conditions such as melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma. 3 Identify and utilize treatment options for common challenging dermatologic diseases such as cutaneous lupus erythematosus, behcet’s disease, disseminated granuloma annulare, disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis based on cases presented. 4 Expand differential diagnosis and incorporate rare entities with unusual clinical presentation

  1. Critically review and evaluate complex dermatologic conditions referencing emerging research and practice guidelines in order to develop strategies for diagnosis, treatment and management.
  2. Apply evidence-based guidelines for common conditions such as melanoma and cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma.
  3. Identify and utilize treatment options for common challenging dermatologic diseases such as cutaneous lupus erythematosus, behcet’s disease, disseminated granuloma annulare, disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis based on cases presented.
