Pediatric Hospital Medicine Case Conference Series

This case series is designed to provide PHM faculty and fellows the opportunity to present,discuss, and provide input and feedback in an interactive manner on a case from the inpatient setting.Cases are typically unusual,present a diagnostic dilemma,a therapeutic challenge or a straightforward case with valuable learning points.In addition,each quarter a health equity case is presented to highlight disparities in clinical care or system issues that we, as a division,can work to address and mitigate.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.50 hours), ABIM MOC Part 2 (1.50 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (1.50 hours)

1. Evaluate emerging research, updated guidelines, and treatment protocols in order to develop strategies for best practice in the care of hospitalized pediatric patients.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Board of Pediatrics MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 1.50 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.

Learner participates in verbal or chat-based case discussion/conversation as judged by a group leader or observer.
