Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Develop strategies to overcome the barriers to disability inclusion in telehealth for healthcare professionals, trainees and patients.
  2. Review the regulatory landscape around utilization of telehealth for those with disabilities.
  3. Explore how healthcare providers can best utilize telehealth technologies for people with disabilities, including telehealth accommodations for providers & staff who have disabilities.
  4. Integrate inclusive practices into telehealth services to enhance accessibility for individuals with autism, dementia, blindness/low-vision, mobility/sensory disabilities, and hearing loss.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
