The 2025 Stanford Hand and Upper Limb Surgery and Therapy Symposium is intended to meet the educational needs of a national audience, including hand surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, hand therapists, and allied health professionals. Focused on evidence-based practices, this symposium offers a comprehensive update on the latest advancements in hand and upper limb surgery and therapy. Through a blend of didactic lectures, case-based discussions, journal article reviews, and group interactions, participants will engage in a dynamic learning experience. Attendees will find valuable insights and opportunities for professional growth in this enriching educational environment.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Critically assess individual current practices to determine congruency with the current standards of care.
  2. Identify the best practices as supported by the literature for treatment of hand and upper limb fractures, compressive neuropathies, arthritis, ligament injuries with hand therapy, and Dupuytren’s contracture.
  3. Develop effective strategies to address all facets of treatment of distal radius fractures.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
