Pediatric Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Lecture Series: Sports Psychology For All

Sports psychology explores how sports participation can boost health and wellness, and help athletes enhance both their athletic and mental performance. Traditionally, sports psychology has focused on addressing problems and issues athletes encounter while playing a sport. Join us to learn about a holistic approach to training for sports and how all athletes can benefit from mental strength training. We will explore the mental dynamics of athletic performance, training for a sport, and training for life.

Registration is required.

All practitioners: free.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), BOC Category A Hours/CEUs (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (1.00 hours)

1. Describe sports psychology and mental strength training.
2. Utilize techniques used in mental strength training.
3. Discuss special consideration for the injured athlete.
4. Review indications for specialized care.

This program is eligible for a maximum of 1.00 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

Stanford Health Care Department of Rehabilitation is an approved provider for physical therapy and occupational therapy for courses that meet the requirements set forth by the respective California Boards. This course is approved for 1.00 hour CEU for PT and OT.
