Stanford Radiation Oncology Clinical Lecture Series

Radiation oncology is a branch of medicine that involves the use of ionizing radiation to treat cancer. It is a complex and rapidly-evolving field that requires an in-depth understanding of both the biological and physical aspects of radiation. This lecture series will cover a broad range of topics, including the biology and physics of radiotherapy and the various techniques and technologies used across the spectrum of disease sites for an interprofessional audience of radiation oncology attending and resident physicians, dosimetrists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and other members of the department.

1. Apply strategies in practical radiation oncology aspects from contouring, treatment planning, plan review and treatment
2. Utilize knowledge of novel technologies introduced in the clinic
3. Understand the future directions and research developments for various clinical sites and technologies
