Pediatrics Morning Report

Pediatrics morning report is a case-based educational series held every Monday-Thursday morning. Providers present pediatric cases aimed at enhancing clinical judgment through development of illness scripts, differential diagnoses, evidence-based assessments and management plans, in addition to a discussion of targeted clinical pearls.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (0.50 hours), ABP MOC Part 2 (0.50 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (0.50 hours)

1. Identify key components of a history, physical exam, and laboratory/radiology results in order to develop a broad differential for the patient’s chief complaint and symptoms.
2. Develop a differential based on commonality, urgency, and applicability of the possible diagnoses in order to determine the best next steps in medical management.
3. Interpret medical findings and be able to compare diagnostic options, and then formulate assessment and plan based on the information provided.
4. Apply best evidence to medical decisions in order to provide optimal patient care.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Credit Designation 
American Medical Association (AMA) 
Stanford Medicine designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Board of Pediatrics MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 0.50 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
