Overview
These recordings will provide an introduction to Restorative Justice and serve as the foundation for the immersive workshops which will prepare learners to create and deploy RJ. Restorative justice offers a conflict-resolution method that emphasizes repairing harm done to members of the community rather than concentrating on blame and punishment. The parties involved in the incident collaborate to create a resolution that fulfills their needs, discourages future misconduct, and restores the community’s trust in the responsible party. Designed specifically for the specific dynamics and conflicts often seen in the healthcare setting, Stanford Medicine is building an enterprise-wide Restorative Justice (RJ) hub with facilitators and services available across the School of Medicine, hospitals, and affiliate healthcare centers to teach how to create and deploy RJ in the healthcare setting.
