The 2022 Gastroenterology & Hepatology Board Review Course was designed for physicians preparing for the ABIM certification exam in Gastroenterology and Hepatology for both initial certification as well as recertification. A lecture series providing a comprehensive overview of the core basic concepts of gastroenterology and hepatology and study materials has been made available.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Describe the pathophysiology and diagnosis of key diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology
  2. Develop strategies to manage key diseases in gastroenterology and hepatology
  3. Prepare for initial certification or recertification of the gastroenterology board exam with confidence in answering case-based questions

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

American Medical Association (AMA) 
The 2022 Gastroenterology & Hepatology Board Review Course has two components: an Enduring Material (self-study completed on your own time) and a Live activity (scheduled for September 16-18, 2022).  Physicians who complete both parts can earn a maximum of 28.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.

Stanford Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 28.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Credit 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 28.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Learner completes answers to a quiz, percent of correct answers required will be set by provider.
