Overview

Internet Enduring Material Sponsored by Stanford University School of Medicine. Presented by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine.

This activity is comprised of two components. The first component includes a self-directed online Enhanced Training-Family Based Training (ET-FBT) program aimed at improving a therapist’s skills and knowledge related to key components of Family-based Treatment (FBT) for Anorexia Nervosa (AN) in adolescents that predict patient outcomes. The program consists of seven lecture modules and each module will be released every 2 weeks for the learners to complete over the course of 12 weeks. Each lecture bundle is comprised of 5-8 short didactic videos that discuss the treatment model and provide mock therapy session video clips (modeling FBT with a typical adolescent AN case), as well as assignments, supplementary readings and videotaped role-plays. The second component includes live 1:1 supervision/coaching with a faculty member. The clinician will receive consultation meetings totaling 12 hours regarding their implementation of FBT on their first two patients during the 12 week period immediately following the completion of the online training program.
