While COVID has initially reduced the number of non-COVID hospitalizations, maternal and neonatal care in the context of pregnancy, delivery, and both well and sick newborns continues at the usual pace. We will discuss the current knowledge and gaps in knowledge on COVID for pregnant women and newborns, transmission of COVID to babies, international experiences in perinatal care during this time, and LPCH implementation of policies in order to provide optimal, safe care in the context of COVID.

  3. Identify practical strategies for providing family centered care for mothers, well babies, and babies in the NICU
  4. Recognize how to optimize healthcare worker protection in the labor and delivery setting
