Internet Enduring Material sponsored by the Stanford University School of Medicine. Presented by the Department of Pediatrics at the Stanford University School of Medicine. 

In this interactive Grand Rounds, we will discuss the current state of medical education in the United States in the era of COVID-19. We will then discuss ways of adapting teaching to meet the needs of our learners, including how to create interactive teaching when using videoconferencing. We will explore changes in the clinical learning environment and how to optimize teaching in new settings including telehealth. Finally, we will explore the impact of COVID-19 on the wellness of our learners and provide strategies to optimize their well-being.

Objectives

  3. Explore impact of a pandemic on clinical training and discuss creative ways to mitigate negative effect
  4. Identify causes of healthcare provider stress related to the COVID epidemic and methods to manage this stress.
