Transforming Cardiac Rehabilitation

The first annual Cardiac Rehabilitation Symposium will be held virtually on Saturday, August 6th, 2022. The symposium aims to unite peers across hospitals, ambulatory settings, and cardiac rehabilitation centers to transform care delivery through a patient-centered and value-based referral design to the outpatient cardiac rehabilitation center. The Cardiac Rehabilitation symposium presents a wide range of cardiovascular scientific sessions relating to CMS governance, trends in interventional and transcatheter procedures, digital cardiac health, cardiac surgeries, aortopathies, and arrhythmia management. The focus is on referral, patient engagement (enrollment and participation), center-based, hybrid, virtual, and remote cardiac rehabilitation reimbursement, exercise therapy, dietary guidelines, and behavioral management strategies.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (6.25 hours), AACVPR continuing education credits (6.25 hours), AAPA Category 1 CME credits (6.25 hours), ANCC Contact Hours (6.25 hours), APA Continuing Education credits (6.25 hours), Non-Physician Participation Credit (6.25 hours)

1. Identify appropriate indications for referrals to outpatient cardiac rehabilitation referrals.
2. Appraise current practice and opportunities for optimization of care delivery.
3. Compare and contrast current practice and guidelines relating to cardiac rehabilitation.

In support of improving patient care, Stanford Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Stanford Medicine has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. Physical/Occupational Therapy
Stanford Health Care Department of Rehabilitation is an approved provider for physical therapy and occupational therapy for courses that meet the requirements set forth by the respective Boards. This course is approved for 6.25 hour(s) CEU for PT and OT.

American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
This course has been approved by the Professional Education Committee of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation for AACVPR Continuing Education Credits.
